We’re excited to share the success story of the Novotel Hotels and IBIS hotel Melbourne Central. This dual-brand hotel, known for its exceptional service, also stands out for its commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability.

Hotels are typically energy-intensive, with heating and cooling accounting for 40-60% of electricity bills. To tackle this, SCSA partnered with Mel Maio, Craig Kelmar and the team at Accor Hotels to implement advanced energy-saving solutions. Real time monitoring provided transparency into energy and water usage, enabling continuous optimisation.

This resulted in substantial energy savings. With a return on investment of under three months, these upgrades were not only good for the bottom line, they were good for the planet too!
